Glorium Technologies deployed a fully customized Odoo ERP system to unify all business processes from lead management and quoting to manufacturing, logistics, and finance.
The project was executed in three structured phases, with the first focusing on digitizing the sales and manufacturing cycle within six to seven months.
1. Process Centralization
Brainvire mapped every operational process end-to-end and built a unified Odoo system covering all major business functions such as sales, production, inventory, logistics, and accounting.
2. Streamlined Quotation Management
To simplify the 700-field quotation process, Odoo templates were implemented, allowing the reuse of prior quotations and automating formula-based calculations. This eliminated redundant manual entry and drastically improved accuracy.
3. Industry-Specific Customization
Custom modules were developed for the steel manufacturing domain, adding unique fields for material type, cast type, quality group, variant, and subvariant. Reporting was enhanced to allow leaders to analyze performance by steel grade, order source, or location.
4. Revision Tracking System
Odoo was enhanced to track multiple quotation versions, storing every change in parameters and automatically passing updated data to manufacturing orders. This ensured precise production planning and traceability.
5. Procurement Workflow Automation
Departments and subcontractors now create Purchase Requisition Forms directly in Odoo, which are reviewed and converted into Purchase Orders after managerial approval, replacing the previous email- and spreadsheet-based process.
6. Integration and Data Synchronization
- Master Data Integration: Real-time synchronization with Azure Data Lake via REST API ensures data consistency.
- Document Management: Technical drawings and CAD files are auto-converted to PDFs and linked directly to their respective sales orders in Odoo.
- Legacy Sync: During transition, the system maintained synchronization with the old BSI system to ensure continuity.
7. Logistics and Compliance
Now Odoo manages all import/export and interstate logistics operations, tracking freight charges, port fees, and compliance documentation.
Using Odoo eSign and Document modules, all transport and customs paperwork is handled digitally with audit trails.
8. User Access and Mobile Enablement
The platform now supports over 800 users across multiple U.S. branches, with access permissions based on department, role, and plant location. Managers can approve workflows, monitor KPIs, and review reports directly through the Odoo mobile app.
