Join a data-focused initiative in the healthcare technology domain where fast, reliable reporting is critical for day-to-day business operations. The goal is to build and evolve a scalable Data Warehouse on AWS that enables near real-time analytics by replicating data from transactional systems into Amazon Redshift, then transforming it into well-modeled layers optimized for reporting performance.

A new team member will be in charge of:

• Designing, developing, and maintaining scalable Data Warehouse solutions on Amazon Redshift.
• Building and optimizing ETL/ELT pipelines to integrate data efficiently and reliably (batch and near real-time where applicable).
• Designing and implementing data model transformations (e.g., staging, marts) to support high-quality analytics and reporting.
• Optimizing performance and scalability across the Data Warehouse (Redshift) and source databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL).
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and translate them into robust data solutions.
• Taking ownership of core production OLTP databases within a microservices-based, multi-tenant application environment.

Does this relate to you?

• 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering.
• Deep hands-on experience with Apache Airflow, including solid DAG design patterns, custom operators, and managed cloud deployments (e.g., MWAA or equivalent).
• Strong SQL skills and hands-on expertise in data modeling concepts (Kimball and Data Vault 2.0).
• Deep experience with Amazon Redshift: schema design, performance tuning, and using Redshift-specific capabilities effectively.
• Proficiency in Python for data processing, orchestration, and pipeline development.
• Solid AWS experience, including Redshift, S3, IAM, and managed workflow/orchestration services.
• Strong foundation in PostgreSQL for OLTP workloads, plus proven performance tuning across both OLTP and OLAP systems.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in an agile environment, taking ownership from implementation through production support.
• Nice to have: dbt experience, CI/CD for data workflows (e.g., GitHub Actions/GitLab CI), data quality tooling (e.g., Great Expectations/Soda), and MySQL experience.
