BBMK Technologies design innovative software solution – NikoHealth – to help healthcare organizations provide better patient care and improve operational efficiencies.

Challenge

The idea was to cover intake, billing, inventory control, documentation, and delivery management within one platform to be used both from the web and mobile.

Goal 1: Build an in-app billing platform

Goal 2: Build an in-app inventory management system

  • Challenge:

To create a user-friendly and customizable automatic billing platform that collects and processes separate payments from customers, insurance companies, and patients.

  • Solution:

For efficient order fulfillment, we joined multiple dropship providers and enabled reporting. For versatility, inventory processes may be managed from working place via apps or through a scanner at the warehouse.

Goal 3: Build a scheduling system for performing in-house delivery

  • Challenge:

To implement scheduling algorithms for handling multiple appointments for various types of users.

  • Solution:

Customers see available time slots and book dates in customizable calendars that are integrated with Google maps for routing and driving time calculation along with a dashboard for drivers.

Goal 4: Build an in-app patient data processing

  • Challenge:

To support different data formats allowing its validation and filtering.

  • Solution:

The system imports various types of patients’ data allowing structuring geolocation, billing, inventory information, and checks data through external sources via the custom validation engine.

Goal 5: Implement an order processing system including resupply function.

To support different ordering scenarios, including reordering and fulfillment.

  • Solution:

We set up a universal ordering process to fit different retail flows, integrating with third-party providers for the reordering.

Goal 6: Implement a help-desk system.

  • Challenge:

Simplify and automate interaction with customers through the application.

  • Solution:

We implemented a functionality to search directly for the application, tickets creation, chat with a support team through third-party integration.

Results

We built a complete all-in-one solution for HME/DME providers and patients. Being over 3 years in production, NikoHealth helps businesses go paperless, improve operational efficiencies, and provide better patient care. With enabled real-time synchronization, it’s suitable both for web and mobile, making patients’ lives more predictable by giving them deliverables in a flexible and fully-automated way. Moreover, the user-friendly interface appeals to both sides – delivery managers and customers.
Glorium keeps growing the application providing tech support and updates.

Astarte Medical

Data-driven diagnostic and predictive app for improving infant outcomes.

Client Background

Astarte Medical is a precision nutrition company that turned to us to build software based on proprietary predictive analytics. The solution is meant to improve outcomes for preterm infants with a suite of digital tools and diagnostics.

Challenge

We had to build a forecasting & tracking web application for the infants’ treatment plans from scratch.

MAIN COMPONENTS MEANT TO BE:

  • AI-based suggestions for feeding time, amount, and constituents
  • Graphs and tools to monitor feeding
  • A thorough interface to track infant growth.

Solution

To standardize feeding, optimize nutrition, and quantify gut health of preterm infants with our app, we implemented:

  • Integrations with various protocols to suggest feedings for babies based on the clinical indicators, growth speed and other historical data (like previous feedings)
  • Tracking of the protocol suggestion modifications
  • Central identity server
  • Rounding report tab to show consolidated information about the patient

Results

Core to Astarte Medical is their comprehensive and proprietary dataset, which integrates feeding protocols, microbiome profiles, and clinical information. We synchronized it with the web application making it generate actionable suggestions in the form of a decision tree.

  • Infant parameters are logged into the app which measures the Protocol compliance for tracking & optimizing their nutrition.

Sleep Tracking Platform

A platform for tracking and improving sleep activities.

Client Background

The Client owns a sleep lab management solution that provides managing patients’ sleep care: from scheduling sleep tests and physician visits to coordinating treatment. The platform is used by lab management companies, independent diagnostic testing facilities, physician-owned labs, and hospitals.

Challenge

The Client needed to replace the outdated desktop version of the product and build a new one using the latest technologies.

OUR GOALS WERE:

  • To build a desktop app using WebRDP to reach it from the web app
  • To integrate the web app with a new server using the latest APIs
  • To connect sleep devices to the new app through DLL libraries adjustment

Solution

Glorium has been working on the project from 2019.

SINCE THE BEGINNING WE:

  • Built a new desktop application using WPF
  • Created a WebRDP solution to allow remote access to sleep studies
  • Optimized outdated DLL libraries enabling connectivity of sleep devices with the latest desktop app
  • Implemented a new archive tool to optimize work with laboratory documents
  • Enabled work with laboratory documents through embedded MS Office

Results

The Client has got the new web version that shows higher performance and faster load. We developed it with added customization possibilities in mind and easier EMR integrations to serve a greater pool of clients.

CAE Blue Phantom

Understanding ultrasound with CAE Blue Phantom. Mobile educational platform for future doctors.

Client Background

With the release of portable systems, ultrasound, which had once been limited to radiologists, was suddenly being used by a vast number of medical specialties from emergency medicine to anesthesiology. Today, Blue Phantom (acquired by CAE in 2012) is a major producer of the most realistic and durable anatomical task trainers available.

Challenge

CAE has been collaborating with us on other projects, so the company addressed us with a request to develop a new educational platform for ultrasound procedures training.

FEATURES REQUESTED:

  • To lay the virtual model on top of the physical (automatic physical model recognition)
  • To create an ability to train with your student partner and show the training steps results to an instructor
  • To develop an admin panel that manages organizations, users, training models, and training steps
  • To create a price durability calculator

Solution

The tech driver for this app is Augmented Reality (AR), which allows the virtual model to be laid on top of the physical. The model can then change size and switch between the skin and vessel layer.

MORE FEATURES IMPLEMENTED:

  • The ability to work with AR virtual models, rotate, change size and switch between the model layers (skin layer, vessels layer)
  • A way to recognize the real model and put the virtual model on top of it
  • A cross-platform mobile application for iOS and Android

Results

We’ve transformed the Client’s idea of building an educational platform into a fully functional app from scratch. The prototype was ready in half a year, and the product was later presented at The International Meeting on Simulation in Healthcare (IMSH) 2020 in USA. Our responsive software added value to the training process and allowed tutors to track the process remotely.

HD live video conferencing and intraoral camera integration for a teledentistry solution.

Product Background

Teledentristy is a broad category of solutions to provide and support dental care delivery, diagnosis, consultation, treatment, transfer of dental information, and education in the field.
Our Client has been operating a teledentistry platform enhanced with costly video streaming. They’ve just developed a new intraoral camera and decided to reimagine the streaming service, making it top-quality but affordable for care providers.

Challenge

The Client was seeking a way to embed a recently created hardware (intraoral camera) with the newest video-streaming tools making it available to use via desktop and mobile devices.

OUR GOALS WERE:

  • To provide uninterrupted, high-quality video conferencing and screen sharing
  • To support integration with the existing dental EHR system
  • To build a product on open-source frameworks

CAE Healthcare is a division that develops medical simulation products, new equipment validation, medical device trials, educational content, and more. With their mannequin simulators, CAE offers targeted training to hospitals, medical schools, emergency response teams, military branches, nursing, and health programs.

Challenge

Considering our expertise in the Healthcare sector, we developed Orion mobile apps for connectivity to a range of CAE training models.

OUR GOALS WERE:

  • To create connectivity between mobile devices and training model firmware
