Android shopping apps got 150% increase in non-organic installs and 42% — in in-app purchases. Android gaming apps were able to reach 110% rise in purchase activity.

 

Flurry have observed 2.2x more installs on Christmas Day than on average. The vast majority of apps installed were games and messengers. Moreover, it’s been estimated that 60% of US, UK, and South Korea users install games within the first week of their new smartphones. So, it is wise to launch a new game before Christmas when lots of people get smartphones as a gift.
