(sports equipment) claims to get 51% of the purchases from mobile, in 2015 they constituted 43%. The company can boast of the mobile app with elaborated UX being more simplified than their website’s.

The number of iOS users who installed shopping apps on holidays through the advertising and other non-organic means increased by 175%. Shopping in-app purchases got higher by 60%. Purchase activity in iOS gaming apps rose by 140%. Non-organic installs increased by 100%, while organic ones by 65%.
Android shopping apps got 150% increase in non-organic installs and 42% — in in-app purchases. Android gaming apps were able to reach 110% rise in purchase activity.
Flurry have observed 2.2x more installs on Christmas Day than on average. The vast majority of apps installed were games and messengers. Moreover, it’s been estimated that 60% of US, UK, and South Korea users install games within the first week of their new smartphones. So, it is wise to launch a new game before Christmas when lots of people get smartphones as a gift.
